This an age-old issue surrounding photography — whether an image should look as it “is” or as the scene is “perceived” by the brain.

If you sent the orange picture without any context/description, I would have thought nothing of it, because my brain doesn’t know what yours does — the world has always been one color and now it’s different!

Interestingly, in camera color temperature, warmer is usually more inviting/friendly and blue is colder/sinister, so I generally process wedding/portrait pictures a tad warm (5500k rather than 5000k).

Now the situation is reversed, warm color temperatures are the mark of something sinister in the environment, no longer a pleasant sunset.
