Simple answer for me, Zoom works in the developing world — FaceTime, google hangouts, Skype, Gotomeeting, and every other app I’ve tried is horribly glitchy.

In the US, Europe, where internet speed is unfathomably fast, this is not a concern, but if you want to actually have a conversation between Africa and the rest of the world, you need a product that works.

Functionality trumps security.
