Member-only story
In poetic form
Whom do you seek?
Put your sword into its sheath;
shall I not drink the cup given me?
Why do you strike me?
What accusation do you bring?
Are you the king?
What have you done?
What is truth?
Why do you weep?
Who do you seek?
Have you believed because you have seen?
Who are you?
Do you love me?
The questions above were asked in the Good Friday — Easter stories in the gospel of John.
Being far from home this during this season weighs heavy on my heart.
So many beautiful traditions and memories from Easter season. Prayer vigil, chanting of Psalm 22, extinguishing the eternal flame, slamming the tomb, silent exit. Sunrise service, songs of celebration, the choir filled with extra instruments — trumpets and tympani. The season of spring, feeling of new life emerging.
